+ Basic Trail Training
During Basic trail training,
horses are introduced to trail riding in general. They cover basic
elements of everyday trail riding such as small water crossings,
ditches, riding in the front, middle, and rear of a group, crossing
small logs, hills, and anything else that a recreational trail horse
needs to succeed as a trail horse. This category also covers trail
horses with problems on the trail such as seperation anxiety,
spookiness, jigging, etc. |

+ Extreme Trail Training
Extreme trail training is for
horses that have already "graduated" from basic trail training or have
been assessed by Robert and their training and levels deemed adequate.
During extreme trail training horses extend their training to cover
larger and much more complex obstacles. They learn to add speed and
agility while staying calm. We cover deep water crossings, log jumps,
banks, tarps, flags, steeper hills, and more. Horses in extreme trail
training also learn more advanced riding training; they must neck rein,
move off leg aids, stop, back quickly, turn around on their haunches
and forehand, etc. |
